Wow. KC is not that bad of a team, but the Broncos were looking at a playoff spot and put 3 on the board......................

They still wind up winning the division unless Oakland can punch in two TDs in the final 2 minutes. That said, putting up 3 points in the final week of the season does not bode well for playoff success.

I tend to agree with you, BUT...

* Roethlisburger is hobbled;
* Mendenhall is out;
* It's an away game;
* Denver can play defense.

Given the first three points, Pittsburgh is lucky they're facing Denver. But stranger things have happened.

Sad to say, I don't like the Texans chances. They slid backwards into the playoffs.

After that is one of two AFC teams that are as flawed as they are. The Ravens are probably the most complete team, but performance is inconsistent. The Pats are consistently awesome on offense and consistently awful on defense.

Any of those three teams can make it to the Superbowl. I don't like any of their odds of winning it though.

I could hardly stand it.

But, at least they made it to the playoffs.

The last three games have me expecting an early exit tho. *sigh* At least the 6-year playoff drought has ended.

6 for 22 for 60 yards at home against a middle of the pack defense does not bode well for a team playing IN Pittsburgh.

Sorry...I meant to say that all of the above are regarding the AFC side. The Packers are the team to beat without a doubt. NO and SF both present problems for them, but GB will be tough to beat at home.

The game will be in Denver. They're the 4 seed. Pittsburgh is 5.

Only way Broncos get into the endzone against the Steelers is if Ben throws a pick-six (which he is unfortunately quite capable of doing), or if there is some kind of divine intervention. Even with being banged up like they are, I predict a fairly one-sided Steelers victory:

Pittsburgh 20
Denver 9

After that, all bets are off, but I will say this - there isn't a more battle-tested, veteran playoff team in the NFL right now than the Steelers. Over the last seven years, the Steelers have gone 74-38, making the playoffs 5 out of 7 years, with a 9-2 playoff record, including three Superbowl appearances. The heart and soul of the team, Polumalu, Ward, Big Ben, Harrison, Hampton, have been there through all of that. They may not get back to the SB this year, but they will be a tough out, I think.
