in the uk there are a handful of online game stores...some always have games £5 cheaper...any ideas why that is..?

and why some seem to have info of games due in or even have them in stock and yet others seem to have no idea of this information and deny the game is due out even

really noticed both these things alot trying to get games after essen.

any ideas and does this happen in all countries..guess it must...

Businesses operate on different revenue models and some care more about having accurate information to give to their customers. Shop at the ones that work best for you and things will work themselves out.

All depends on how the company works, I guess. Some pay closer attention to what is being released. The bigger websites will be more likely to be in stock of certain items and will usually be cheaper as they can afford to be. I suggest shopping around though, as one website might be cheaper on a certain range than another website but on a different might be more expensive.
If you are looking for a UK based website store that is usually accurate on release information, try Wayland games.

online games stores are cheaper than brick and mortor stores as they pay much lower rents as they are not in town centres etc.

Different stores use different distributors and not all distrubutors get the same games for example a large british distributor didn't get panic station therefore stores supplied exclusively by this distributor didn't get panic station.

Also small stores often don't have the space or available spare cash to buy in such large quantities as online retailers and therfore do not get the same discounts on bulk purchases.

Different pricing is usually a reflection of different costs &, as others have said is often down to the business model.

For information- often they can only tell you what they know from the distributor. With Essen, some games will be available straight away, some take a few weeks to be available at the distributor level (& it can take a while for the distributor to know if/when they're coming in).
Having no idea that a game has been released/is due? - They really ought to be paying closer attention
