Haven't played yet but, after reading through the rule booklet and looking at some of the cards, there's one point that I never saw made clear; When the keeper gets to draw mythos and/or trauma cards, does he blindly draw from a shuffled deck or does he get to look through the available cards and pick one?

Yes, keeper draws one from the top of a shuffled deck.

Thanks. That's kind of what I assumed but I don't recall seeing it even suggested in the rules.

The closest we have is...

Drawing Mythos and Trauma Cards
A number of Keeper Action cards allow the keeper to draw more
Mythos and Trauma cards.

Quote:
Mythos Cards
The keeper takes all cards that have one of these icons and
shuffles them together to form his Mythos deck. He returns
all other Mythos cards to the game box.

After playing a Mythos card, the keeper discards it to a faceup pile
adjacent to the Mythos deck. If the Mythos deck runs out of cards, this
discard pile is shuffled to create a new Mythos deck.

This states that the Mythos cards are shuffled and there would be little point in doing this unless the draw was blind.

Trauma Cards
Trauma cards are kept in the keeper’s hand until played and are
drawn using specific Keeper Action cards

• Decks of Cards: If a deck of cards runs out, the players
shuffle the discard pile to create a new deck.

I think this all implies you do draw Trauma and Mythos cards blind.

Drawing cards blind is the default assumption, since that's how almost every deck in almost every game involving cards works. If the intention were for Mythos and Trauma cards to not work in this standard way, there would have been some indication to that effect.

People assume some familiarity with common sense practices of games when writing rules. This would be one of those times. haha.
