Greetings fellow Dustians...

I seldom rely on companies showcasing the models as they are always painted by some superb artist and when you actually buy the minis they look differently. In an attempt to mend that and help out new players/collectors taking the proper decisions I have set out to document all Premium Edition minis that I will come across and that I haven't seen shown here already.

So, here they are: Photos that I took of my Premium Edition minis that I've ordered directly from Dust Studios. The purpose with this post is to showcase the quality of the pre-paint job and the overall model.

The minis are untouched/unmodified and in their original state as they were when I got them.

All photos have been posted in their original state except the first one that I edited somewhat. I have used two insufficient and cheap studio lights and my Canon 400D, no flash, ISO 100. The pictures have been downscaled to 1920 and saved as lossy JPG in order for this post to pass moderation.

Copyright is CC-BY-SA. Dust Studio and/or FFG has the copyright to the Dust Tactics logo and game card(s).

Personally I am very happy with the quality of both the pre-paint and the models, and it is the best pre-painted ones I have seen on the market to date. I can highly recommend them if you're not skilled enough to paint them yourself and still want a game that looks amazing (I sure do).

Hope these are of some use to you.

Looks great! Really nice quality. I was thinking about picking up the premium edition, although I've been having a lot of fun painting the set myself (not a patch on this quality though!).

I think they're the Allies Gorilla equivalent:

They have identic combat stats, they move +1 and are just 2 APs more expensive but have "Jump" which is pretty powerful combined with the 2-square movement.

The Hammers are my favourite unit at the moment, especially when paired with Rhino.

My word, this paint job is stunning. I love the detail on their suits and rocket fists, and their determined yet noble expressions.

I love the Hammers, but have been contemplating pairing them with Ozz instead of Rhino. Their close combat attacks make them vulnerable, and am thinking Ozz's "Heroic Attack" ability will really come in handy with them.

Does Ozz have "Jump"? It could indeed be a good idea to comobo the squad with him.

I have never managed to deal any serious damage with them wen combined with Rhino, they always get blasted from a distance. Could be that I just have fitted them on wrong type of maps or haven't properly understood when to pop them out, but only having C in their Squad makes it hard to work with.

I find they work very well in scenarios that involve buildings. They can flush people out of buildings quite well - they can't be targetted so easily and they ignore the cover that buildings provide.
