I was thinking about getting a mb for hf and thought it'd be fun to have an anti-mb mb, so I cooked up the following:

Name: High Frontier fan - Crash Hazard
Mouseover: High Frontier fan - Your trip ends here!

Worth submitting to the mb authorities?

Which one do you like better?

Here the truceless armies yet / Trample, rolled in blood and sweat; / They kill and kill and never die; / And I think that each is I. // None will part us, none undo / The knot that makes one flesh of two, /
badge
Sick with hatred, sick with pain, / Strangling -- When shall we be slain? // When shall I be dead and rid / Of the wrong my father did? / How long, how long, till spade and hearse / Puts to sleep my mother's curse?

Perhaps on the mouseover you should have the text include one of the more interesting types of hazards, say 'rubble pile', 'outbursts', 'acid clouds', or any of the others listed.

I like both, though I think the orange & black microbadge has a better contrast. Loved the "Your trip ends here!" idea devil .

ok, tried to sharpen it up, make it a bit brighter and center it better:

looking at it now, I think the black head is a bit too large and the pink one has a little pink bleeding into the border and could probably also use a bit of a shadow

I think the first one is the sharper but the second is in a pretty good definition also.

I also like the pink one the most, but i think it still needs more work - it still looks a bit unclean, specially those pink pixels at the outer border (excuse my broken english...)

I can not find it as submited, are you still working on it? If so, maybe you can try creating the image from a blank canvas by yourself (just a pink circle, a couple of lines for the bones, etc), instead resizing a real caption from the game board, it sometimes gives better results. Or if you have given it up, i can give it a try myself (but don´t want to steal your idea! :D)

The second round of badges I posted were from scratch using vector graphics. Pink was harder because it needs to be smaller, but I have thought of some ideas to try to get it sharper which I'll attempt later this week.

I still like the pink one the most (good work, it has really improved!) Have you tryed to give it a darker border? Like a shadow, or something like that, i think it would help the outer white ring to contrast against light backgrounds - but maybe theres no room for it.

Anyway, I think they are good enought to submit as is. Or at least, to repost on the mb thread, so you can get comments by the pleople there

Ya, it needs a drop shadow, but there's not really room for it--you end up only seeing it mostly in the corners and it makes the badge square. Either that or the whole things needs to be smaller, but I couldnt get that to look good. That'd be much easier with one of the event trigger burns.
