Just moved to the area, and searching the geek I can only find clubs 20 miles away (Brighton, further north). Anyone know of anything going on nearer Eastbourne (I live in Polegate), or fancy trying to set something up?

Cheers,

Pete

Welcome to East Sussex!

I'm more over the Brighton end - but I'm sure I've met some gamers from Eastbourne at the Pasteboard+Plastic event (in Saltdean). There's even a 'games' shop in Eastbourne (Susan Road?), so someone must be buying them.

If you do fancy a trip over to Brighton, there's various dates on the Brighton Guild.

It is probably to far north for you but we meet on alternate Sundays at the Blue Anchor Crowborough (once we agree dates for 2012 with our local pub landlord) to play generally lighter games, mainly with non gamers. All are welcome and we are beginning to attract some local gamers from Uckfield , Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding area so there may be the opportunity to play more medium weight games in time.

More details can be found on our Facebook Page Social Gamers - Crowborough or my blog KevinandGames

Games Lounge in Susans Road is a video game shop, sadly. Nearest game shop would probably be Dave's Comics in Brighton, or Onslaught Games in Hove, but that's mainly RPGs and wargames.

Many thanks for your ideas, everyone.

I've joined the Brighton guild and will have a look to see what's going on there, and will drop into Phantasia to see if they know of any more local groups etc.

Kevin, thanks for the offer for Crowborough; bit out the way probably, but will drop you a line if I can make it one Sunday.

Cheers,

Pete

Ah yes, I recall Phantasia now. Tried to interest them in LeCardo a few months ago but nothing doing, think they said they were too specialised. Oh well.
