Just set up my first game after several days of staring at the manual.

Had a look through the FAQ and couldn't find the following:

How or what determins my card limit that i read about in the FAQ?
I can't find anything in the rulebook

Me too. Just trying to make them as clear as possible without being overly complex, but it's a tough job...

i bet.
I must admit i feel privileged to still not having played my first full game and still learning. sure, when i've mastered it i may have more subtle or in depth questions about mechanics and strategy, but right now, it's about getting a clue.

On that note, I think the flavor text in the rules is confusing, especially in I - Rewards. More on that after some sleep. (I have the dinner table booked for FQ for the forseable future, what with xmas over and being in between contracts, so really looking forward to learning this game. (Looks great by the way))

Perhaps I should wait for the next ruleset? I'm still green enough that I will be starting from scratch again.

There is some merit in pushing ahead with using the rules are they are, especially as v2 rules are not anticipated to appear soon.

Playing with the v1 rules really helps flush out misunderstandings, any confusion etc, and helps Ninjadorg provide clarifications. It is often a good source for new ideas. These would all help with the v2 drafting.

It probably took me two dry runs of the game with rules in front of me before it began to click together (and I had helped ND draft the v.1 rules albeit without having played the game!! One might say a receipe for disaster!).

If you haven't already seen there is an "FAQ" thread which might help initially on your queries - otherwise ask away.

Don't wait for v2 rules - there is a great game already waiting for you...

Definitely don't hold back on playing and learning now as you'll deny yourself some great gaming.

I was still missing a few rules points in my third and fourth games but was enjoying myself nonetheless.
