Unfortunately after 3 years of Cosmic Encounter goodness, the box is about to be torn to shreds.

The bottom is slowly ripped apart and the edges of the cover box are ripped. While I am taping them, it is just a temporary solution.

Any storage suggestions? I tend to travel with my games. I also have both expansions and I think a third expansion will just destroy the box.

I'm in the same boat. When Cosmic Alliance arrives, my carefully packed Cosmic Encounter box will no longer hold everything.

Most likely, I'll purchase a Really Useful Box (that's the brand name) from Office Depot to carry the game. They come in a variety of really useful sizes, so I'll pick one that seems suitable. Whether I keep the original box or not remains to be seen.

Such a container is really more useful than the box it came in.

My box is turning to dust, and this is a great idea. I might even get one with a little tray so that I can store more stuff, and homebrews when they finish with expansions.

There should be a Word Games Subdomain, or at least a Word Games Forum!

You can always cut apart the original box and tape the artwork onto your sturdy new box.

I envy you guys! My box is in great shape - because I've had so few opportunities to play the game! soblue

I'm pretty happy with these boxes I found at Costco for about $20 each. I'm able to get CE plus both expansions in one case, and using the others for other games components. I've bought 6 or 7 of them I think.
