Seriously, this song

made my pants fit funny when I was in junior high. I rolled up many a D&D character to the Hero, Hero double album set, aroused and confused.

Judas Priest is never wrong. Saw them live about two years ago. HIGHLY recommended. They'll set your other eyeball aflame.

edit: Your other eyeball.

I try to avoid using "priest" and "erection" in the same sentence. Although, I just DID use them in the same sentence . . .

Rob Halford gave my ex-GF's uncle plenty of erections ... in person.

I find their live show has resented in the last few years. Age is certainly taking a toll from Halford's voice.

I hadn't previously seen them so I've no basis for comparison, but I thought he sounded pretty solid. Guy's got a great stage presence too.

Hero, Hero had a great track list. Though the first two Priest albums have so many good songs I don't know why they left off some, like "The Ripper". Well, I do know, it was corporate greed.

I remember listening to Judas Priest cassettes on my Walkman while doing my paper route. They were my favorite band for a long time and still one of the few bands where I can listen to all their albums in a row without getting sick of them. I have to say though that British Steel is what awakened my latent metal hungers. That album is awesome start to finish. Well, "Living After Midnight" is tired and overplayed and I can't really listen to it anymore.

EDIT: Also, Judas Priest was the first concert I ever went to (Defenders Of The Faith tour) and the first time I ever got drunk (Little Kings... ugh).

Absolutely; I highly recommend their shows. I saw them last time this summer, and Halford struggled to sing just a couple of songs from Painkiller and Judas is rising. The new guitarist was also a bit out of place, far too rock-star-ish for a band like Judas Priest, but still, first rate shows. Go see them while they are still around!

Aside from Painkiller, my favourite album by them is Stained Class:

I rolled many of mine to Crusader by Saxon. Probably explains why I rolled lots of paladins.
