How many scenarios are contained in the book?
And on which side does the brotherhood fight?

There are 4 scenarios, but the final one requires some of the other expansions (which I'm glad for, to be honest). As you would expect, the Brotherhood fights for Stark.

23. Thorn In The Paw

Win Condition: Objective Control

Greatjon Umber
Beric Dondarrion (Brotherhood)
12 x Northmen Archers
2 x Kennel Masters
6 x Winterfell Riders
8 x Knights of the Hollow Hill (Brotherhood)

Addam Marbrand
Kevan Lannister
8 x Westerlands Archers
11 x Casterly Rock Cavaliers
8 x Lannister Heavy Infantry
3 x Lannisport Guard

24. Dead Will Rise

Win Condition: Stark Objective Control/Lannister Prevention

Beric Dondarrion (Brotherhood)
Thoros of Myr (Brotherhood)
8 x Knights of the Hollow Hill (Brotherhood)
11 x True King's Outlaws (Brotherhood)
8 x Warhost of the North

Gregor Clegane
Kevan Lannister
12 x Westerlands Archers
12 x Lannister Heavy Infantry
18 x Lannisport Guard

25. Fighting The Forgotten

Win Condition: Victory Points

Beric Dondarrion (Brotherhood)
Thoros of Myr (Brotherhood)
Anguy (Brotherhood)
8 x Warhost of the North
8 x Northmen Archers
11 x Lightning Lord's Bowmen (Brotherhood)
11 x True King's Outlaws (Brotherhood)
8 x Knights of the Hollow Hill (Brotherhood)

Jaime Lannister
Kevan Lannister
Gregor Clegane
12 x Westerlands Archers
6 x Casterly Rock Cavaliers
12 x Lannister Heavy Infantry
17 x Lannisport Guard

26. Will To Fight

Note: This scenario also requires the Wardens of the North, Wardens of the West and Tribes of the Vale Expansions.

Win Condition: Highest Morale

Rodrik Cassel (Wardens of the North)
Thoros of Myr (Brotherhood)
Smalljon Umber (Wardens of the North)
Beric Dondarrion (Brotherhood)
3 x Warhost of the North
11 x Winterfell Riders
4 x Manderly Trident Bearers (Wardens of the North)
6 x Last Hearth Lancers (Wardens of the North)
4 x Mormont Shield Maidens (Wardens of the North)
12 x Lightning Lord's Bowmen (Brotherhood)
8 x Knights of the Hollow Hill (Brotherhood)
11 x True King's Outlaws (Brotherhood)

Chella (Tribes of the Vale)
Jaime Lannister
Tyrion Lannister (Wardens of the West)
Shagga (Tribes of the Vale)
11 x Stone Crows (Tribes of the Vale)
8 x Black Ears (Tribes of the Vale)
12 x Lannister Heavy Infantry
8 x Clegane Crossbowmen (Wardens of the West)
11 x Lannisport Guard
8 x Casterly Rock Cavaliers

Thanks for posting this!

Actually, I would not have expected them to be on Stark's side only, because the descriptions so far had them only as protectors of the smallfolk and such. Of course, knowing the books, they would at least strongly lean to the Stark side. But I think it's very good news, because it suggests that another expansion with units that fight on the Lannister side might be in the works. There must be balance, after all.

The last two scenarios look big and complex. Especially the last - is that one battle plan, or do you need two to fit all those units?

Very true, they never side with Stark. I always figured they were a good counter-point to the Bloody Mummers though(which is my bet for the next Lannister Ally).

They all work on one board, no need for extra core sets

Regardless, Scenario 26 is definitely an epic battle; the two battle-lines arrayed across the river from one another. There are objectives to capture, and whoever has the most each turn will damage enemy morale (hence the unusual morale based victory condition).

But seriously, thanks for the info! Can't wait to get my copy (held up in a pre-order snafu with Troll and Toad...grumble grumble...)

Hello Alexander,

another small question: do the bases have slots for banners, like in the previous expansions sets, or are they flat? (would be nice)

They have banner slots, but the game comes without any banners (as you would expect). So no unique bases, sadly.

I really wanted to cut the slots off before painting, but I forgot. I'll probably still do that when i find the time to glue grass on.

BTW, we just played the first scenario. I won't spoil the result though - wait for Jan's session report
