Me and my friends started our second RTL campaign some weeks ago. Since I am the overlord now I tried to make it as convenient for me as possible, to always have all rules at hand.

What helped me most was the site www.descentinthedark.com. This guy created the most comprehensive archive of rules, skills, cards, etc. for Descent that I know of.

Another tool I like to use are the Universal Head Rules Reference Sheets. Man, I really love how everything is visible at a glance.

One thing, that bothered us while playing RTL for the first time was the fact, that there is an abundance of Eldritch monsters populating the dungeons. In our ongoing campaign we will be using this (http://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/35635/dungeon-level-monste...) monster generator to have a more interesting setup.

The players really like this online character generator (http://descent.epixx.org/), which does everything the print-form generator from Kevin Wilson does, but it's automated and calculates every value for you.

And the best tool by far may be this (http://boardgamegeek.com/filepage/73669/descent-character-bu...) character builder. It can be used by the players to create heroes (custom or all of the "normal" heroes), and to plan ahead which skills to take and when and where. REALLY handy whithout having to look up the skills on the cards or the locations where to train them in the RTL campaign rules book. Also nice to print out character sheets.

Which player/overlord aids do you use? Which is the best/most helpful one? Anything I missed, that could help speed up game play?

I have found my own monster reference sheets very helpful: http://www.boardgamegeek.com/filepage/57569/monster-stats-re... There are separate sheets for the different types of monster organised by level so that you only need to have three pieces of paper in front of you as an overlord, and replace one when you upgrade them. Hope it helps!
