We started a league and play the d20 rules
I could not find a d20 rule for field goals
It is said the d20 rule is to "make special teams fair" I do not see it.
In my last game my opponent made one around 60 (yes sixty) where my extreme possible longest is 28 (ps one field goal kick I lost 9 yards). What is up with that?

Do you have a suggested official solution as with the other experimental d20 rules

I am thinking of using the generic game dice that come with the base game for all special teams.

The d20 alternate was an plausible idea. and is better than nothing but it is very incomplete. It also takes away from the flavor and theme of the game. You go through the trouble of making 175 custom special d6 dice and you throw in a d20 when something was overlooked? rushed, a fumble. I don't know I guess everything in a game can't be perfect.

Still like the game. NOT happy with the expansion rules. (yes I know I don't have to use them but once a league starts ....)

The special team d20 rule is an optional rule.

Using the base game dice for special teams is also an option.

The way that I play (and will continue to play) is using the expansion team dice for special teams.

In fact, you didn't lose 9 yards. With some teams that have very poor offense/defense (Leopards, Thunder, Paladins, etc.) you could end up with a negative result. But that's the same as *any* unsuccessful field goal and your opponent gets the ball from the spot of the attempt.

Thanks! Glad you're enjoying the game!
