Am I missing something with the grenades?

If you are close enough to throw a grenade, would it not just be better to shoot, you have a chance of scoring many more hits? Close-Short-Long. Whereas with a Grenade you just have Blast.

The exception would be if two enemy units are so close that they both are under that little circle, but why would a player have units that close to one another?

Thanks

Dan

The big advantage to the grenade in that situation is you won't become spotted when you throw it. If you raise your gun and shoot you become instantly spotted and return fire can be directed back at you.

One reason would be that the thrower doesn't become spotted when tossing a grenade.

D'oh, too slow. ninja

Also, all targets become spotted regardless of being hit or not!

Excellent, that does make sense. But by what Rob, says. Does the target need to be spotted?

Yes, at least one target of a grenade toss needs to be spotted, but not all targets in the blast radius require previous spotting.

The thrower will not be spotted, but all the targets will become spotted as a result of the noise and shrapnel the blast creates.

The thrower pulls the hit check individually for each target in the blast radius. The damage result is pulled from the target's deck for each successful blast hit suffered.
