The character cards shape your long term strategy to an extent (though at this time--a mere six games in to be clear!--it seems to me the character cards don't become a serious factor in decision making til the last round, maybe a little bit in the second-to-last round).

Are there any other considerations that can shape a unified strategy across rounds? (I.e. both before and after the drawing of an action card?)

It can also help to try and gear your dice toward the event cards. If the event cards are all red and yellow and you have mostly white dice, those are likely points you will miss out on.

Plan ahead for whenever you will next be first player. For example, plan for a huge action using a Tithing cube next time you are first player. (Yellow dice have a way of disappearing before your turn when you have cubes on Tithing and anybody else goes before you....)
