Hi

I am organising a Carcassonne Tournament in Thanet, which will take place on Wednesday 7th March, starting at 6:30PM. It will be held at the Racing Greyhound pub in Ramsgate, in their function room.

Entries cost £2 per person, and all proceeds go towards prizes.

If you're interested in entering, please email me on thanetgamegroup@gmail.com with your interest.

cheers

Simon

Will the games be 1v1 or 4 player (etc)?

And will it only be base game Carcassonne?

Hi

Due to time constraints, it will be 4 player games, and using just the base game.

Cheers

Why would a four player game be quicker than a two player game?

Because you're knocking out 3/4 of the field rather than 1/2 of the field.

Hi

It wouldn't be knockout, I have read a few threads about Carcassonne tournament scoring on BGG and I'm going to do the one where the winner scores 0 points, then the others get minus points depending on how far their score is off 1st place.

Here is the thread:

I'm not sure about having a final though. It's a bit unfair for the highest scoring person after 4 or so games losing in the final.

cheers

Hi

You don't need to be a member of BGG, don't worry. If you e-mail the names of those who would like to enter to thanetgamegroup@gmail.com you can be entered.

Thanks for your interest

Cheers
