When a location gets closed, either permanently or temporarily,what happens to players and monsters causght inside that location?

Thanks Eric, i couldn't see a ruling for this in the rule book or the FAQ, is there a comprehensive source of rulings somewhere?

Comprehensive? I think the best we've really got there is thorough searching of this forum and some of the great users here. The best in print is the lastest rule book's faq.

This particular question is somewhat roundly addressed in the base rules:
Arkham Horror Rulebook Page 20 wrote:
If the terror level reaches a sufficiently high level, the
Curiositie Shoppe, the General Store, and Ye Olde
Magick Shoppe close for the rest of the game.
If the terror level reaches 3, place a closed marker on the
General Store. It is closed for the rest of the game and
no one may enter that location. Immediately move any
investigators and monsters currently at the General Store
to the Rivertown street area.
If the terror level reaches 6, place a closed marker on the
Curiositie Shoppe. It is closed for the rest of the game
and no one may enter that location. Immediately move
any investigator or monster currently at The Curiositie
Shoppe to the Northside street area.
If the terror level reaches 9, place a closed marker on Ye
Olde Magick Shoppe. It is closed for the rest of the
game and no one may enter that location. Immediately
move any investigator or monster currently at Ye Olde
Magick Shoppe to the Uptown street area.

Here we see that any time a location is closing, investigators and monsters are moved to the connected streets.

The rulebook follows the FFG rule that it will write 100 words when 10 will do. What a mess.
