As A Packers fan (don't laugh Giants) can anyone tell me which one of the expansion packs/teams most closely resemble the Packers play style?
Come to that, can anyone equate the expansion teams to specific NFL teams?
As a UK fan of American Football I am severely lacking in the fine nuances of the game and any assistance would be gratefully received.
The perfect answer to my query would be a list of all the NFL teams and the R&R equivalent expansion teams.
I realise that R&R can't answer this query due to licensing restrictions but I'm sure fellow Geeks can offer assistance.
Many thanks in advance for your advice.

Heh, fun question. The play styles of many of the NFL teams change a lot from year to year, but this year the Packers pretty much had the best pass offense in the NFL and the worst defense, with the rushing offense somewhere in between (according to the NFL stats, which go by total yardage, the Packers rushing offense ranked 27 out of 32). So just based on that, and looking at how each of the expansion teams' pass offense, rushing offense, and defense are ranked on the back of the expansion box images (available on the R&R site and the BGG pages for each expansion), I'd say the Louisville Locusts of the Midwest Division are a good match, although their running game might be too good. A more well-rounded team would better fit the traditional image of the Packers, though -- and the Milwaukee Monsters from the same division fit that bill. And Milwaukee and Green Bay are both in Wisconsin . . .

On a related note, a useful player aid would be to have those defense/run/pass rankings from the back of the box available in a single file.

As a Browns fan...

Just play with any expansion team BEFORE applying the stickers. That should average out pretty close.

As a Raiders fan, take all the best valued stickers across all the expansion teams and make one set of Uber dice.

Surely it's within the rules and the officials won't pick up on that???

"15 yard penalty - illegal use of dice"...

My turn.

As a Dolphins fan, play without stickers the first half of the season. Then apply stickers and ruin your draft pick, too.

I remember the 80's which were the reverse. We'd typically start 6-0 before the inevitable slide.

Quarterback Sneak
red + T (play die + penalty die) vs D
could be good could be bad I figure the odds are +- 2 yards depending on your defense die. But then again a huge Defense die and your likely not to try.

There are QB Sneak rules in the rulebook. Top of page 11. Or did you mean something other than that?

Yes, I want a house rule that improves the "quarterback sneak" rule in 1st and goal. You can call this house rule the "Tebow rule" :D

As a Seahawks fan: perhaps a special Marshawn Lynch "Beast Mode" die. Sides include skittles for extra yards, an earth quake emblem for an automatic TD, etc.

Go Hawks!
