While trying to get the answers to the questions of the contest, I happened to read the German rules. purely coincidential.

Please Gung Ho, do yourself a favour and proofread the German rules again.
A German proofreader comes cheap! Or use a native speaking translator in the first place. Believe me Babelfish/Google and almost all of the other online translations are bad, no worse!

As a professional technical writer and part-time translater my eyes water when I see the German language thus distorted.

BTW as the "translators" of Job's bio discovered "silicon vally >< "Silikon-Tal"!

Edit: Typo

Perhaps someone could check the Italian rules, too.

So it is only one new revision for all the translations...

Subject to the condition that the English rules need no revision.

Figures, those English and French can't seem to make up their minds on who owns parts of the shore there... they've been fighting over that for centuries!

Hello Wolfram,

thank you very much for your valuable feedback, we will look into any mistake in the German translation.

However, for the record, we have used German native speaking translators and a professional German native proof reader. But we do not speak German at Gung Ho Games and therefore had to rely on the German native translators.

It would be of enormous help if you could send us an email at info@gunghogames.com with some more detail on the mistakes.

Thank you in any case.

The Italian rules are decent, but a I've seen a couple of place where a minor rewording would do (in my humble opinion).

Hello Gabrio,
sure, will do. Give me some days as I have to do it in my spare time.
Sorry to hear that you tried to do it right.

Some of the text males sense, but then, sentences like "Gebrauchen Sie eines von den Würfel um ihres Schiff auf dem Spielbrett zu bewegen" happens. This was NOT translated by a human being speaking German. I do not know about who did the translation, but for sure he / she used some "shortcut" for large portions of the text or you got a non-revised version. Don`t publish it the way it is now.

Hello,

a second version of the German Rules is now available for download both on the Nassau page of BGG and on the gung ho website.

All imperfections have now been taken care of, and allow me to take the opportunity to send an ENORMOUS thanks to Wolfram Troeder who is now the official Proof Reader of the game!

Cheers.
