Has anyone figured a way to keep blocks from falling over with the slightest touch during play?

A small and thin piece of anti-slip material at the bottom of each block? A special container/construction to hold them in place? Another idea?

I've found that just breaking them into two stacks at a location rather than leaving it in one big heaping stack is helpful...or even just putting the really badly shaped ones at the top of a stack..

I like your anti-slip material but you will be permanently marking the blocks. gulp

Yes. Avoid even slightly touching them.

I think that sticky materials will do no good to the board.

Yeah that stuff leaves a grease stain on surfaces. It will soak into the map paper, I'd reckon.

Within the realm of color, the shadows often assume responsibility for the awkward shine of yellow.

Magnets.

Litko has magnetic strips you can stick onto the blocks.

Then take a 4" thick slab of pure iron and put it underneath the board.

There you go!
