Hello there, here are some ideas to expend the game (in my french style english, sorry for grammar geeks)

1) energy points (use red beads or anything alike) : you have 3 of them at the start of the game, you gain more of them when you don't move at your turn.

2) reroll : you can use one energy point to reroll a die. You can use more energy points to reroll more dice or reroll the same die again. The only rule is one energy point for one reroll. You can do it at your turn, before choosing your die.

3) powers : your monster as a unique power, you can use one (two, three ? it needs to be tweaked) energy point to use it at your turn. The idea is to use the choosed die in another way. Following this idea, you use your power instead of moving when you choose a die.
typical powers are :
- nuclear beam (choose a die, you shoot an energy beam in that direction to the adjacent square, destroy any building, throw away a monster)
- fly/teleport (choose a die, you fly to any square of the board with this die on a side, destroy a building in it, throw away a monster in it)
- dig (take your monster out of the board, choose a die but you can't do nothing with it, no move, no energy recover, next turn, choose a die and move to any square with this die on a side, destroy building, throw away a monster)
- tail spin (choose a die, move, destroy a building, throw away a monster, you can choose where the monster lands)

4)Injuries : a monster pushed away by a throw looses one energy point. If it can't be pushed, it looses one more point. When a monster can't loose an energy point because it has none left, it's a knock down ! Lay the monster, next turn, choose a die, recover instead of moving...

This is pure intellectual work, it hasn't be tested yet... I will test it this weekend, if the kids are likely to play (but there's some heroïca games too )...

More Buildings !
Tested and approved qith the kids : put a little more buildings, like this at the beginning of the game

K is for Kaiju, 3 or 2 is the number of building in a square. If your Kaiju don't move in a square with a remaining building, it destroys it.
This setup gives more interest to the corner (bad place to be, because your left with only 2 results to move on a die), you choose more often not to move because you have buildings left to destroy in your square.
You can also try different configurations of buildings, a 28 total is a good start for 3-4 Kaijus !
