My son(s) and I are working on a game designed using parts from LEGO Board games...more of what a gamer would expect....

I'm a couple blog posts in here:

Looks promising, and is a good way to spend some quality father/son time. How much luck is involved as I see that there are dice. Are you going to have a way for the players to boost or negate the dice or is it more deterministic?

Looks good so far.

The variable dice are interesting and can be adapted to various approaches from simple RNG generators, to some methods to determine encounters. And everything in between.

A key design goal is to use the customizable LEGO dice. Right now (subject to radical change), players will have one or more dice that represent their stats (skill, experience, etc) and one or more dice that represent their equipment (weapons, armor).

The dice will be customizable by the level of each stats and by how they are distributed on the dice.

Dice rolls will be boosted or negated by in-game decision.

From latest post:

Stats are based on the parts of a minifig, along with an abstract Experience stat:

One 1x1 tile in the color of one of the Stats would equate to one point in that Stat.

The player is given 20 tiles to "spend", they can choose which stats to "buy" tiles for, and then distribute those tiles as they see fit.

Some discussion in this thread: Addressing logisitical concerns in rules?.

I think I've decided to let the setup diagram indicate to the players how things should be done.

Some fine tuning on diceand cards in the last couple of blog posts.

Rules nearing completion....
