When we were playing tonight we realized that the throw card has a weird effect. Since you move an opponent "on hit" you move them before you do damage. However since it is a 1 range card, if you have a +0 modifier, you can actually move the opponent on hit and then not be able to hit them for damage.

I know you can just throw them over you to keep them in range, but was it really intended to be able to move them out of range? It just seems a little weird to me since it is an "on hit" effect.

Range is only checked the one time to see if the attack hits. Once the On Hit effect is resolved the range of the attack is out of the equation at that point and the damage is applied.

Thematically you are throwing the opponent a short distance. So when they land a space away it hurts!

Good call. We totally forgot that checking range was a step. That is why we were confused.
