Seems like there really hasn't been all that much worth watching in the last several years.

Last two that I really liked were:

Sunlight
and Serenity

I also watched Pandorum but I thought it was pretty lame. I wanted to like it... I just couldn't.

So what else has come out that is worth watching? I haven't really been keeping up with movie releases the last couple years.

I'm not sure I understand. Aliens and a big mothership. It takes place on Earth, but....

It was SF, just not really a space movie.

It isn't here quite yet, but Ridley Scott's Alien-prequel "Prometheus" is due out this summer, and looks amazing.

There hasn't been a lot, recently.

That will definitely be one for the "big screen".

I cannot wait for the film version of Dan Simmons' fabulous, "Hyperion". Though I do wonder how they can get it in at anything under 3+ hours.

What was it about? The IMDB page was pretty much useless in explaining it.

It's about a guy who works alone with a talking computer on a commercial helium-3 mining lunar base. It's good, you should see it.

What, is that the one with the psycho computer? The trailer put me off. "I think you might be seeing things." "I'm sorry Dave I'm afraid I can't do that." Can we say oh how imaginative?

I'm waiting for Greg Bear's Forge of God and Anvil of Stars to be made into movies. It's supposed to become a trilogy with an as yet unpublished third novel.

"Evocative" sometimes we call it.
