It looks like most of the files have gone along with the website. There was a 'current rulings' but I'm not sure I have a copy.

Given that the site is gone etc, would it be OK to upload the rules pdf etc to the game's profile file section?

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

I have a copy of the current rulings that I downloaded a couple of years ago. I will upload the nice PDF to BGG in a couple of minutes. Since it will take a couple of days for approval, here it the content of it (poorly formatted)

Stargate Trading Card Game
Current Rulings
September 14, 2007

The Current Rulings document (or CRD) is an official supplement to the Stargate TCG rulebook. It is updated periodically, and should be used by tournament directors in making tournament rulings.

This CRD contains all rulings issued since the System Lords rulebook (August 2007). These rulings are effective immediately. Entries that are new or revised since the previous edition of the CRD (August 14, 2007) are marked with an asterisk (*).

* Aldwin, Tok’ra Agent
Erratum:
His Combat skill is decreased from 2 to 1.

* Canopic Jar
Erratum (first paragraph of game text only):
Stop an assigned adversary — Place this gear on him. You can do this only if this gear isn’t on an adversary.
(The other paragraphs of this card’s game text are unchanged.)

* Frank Simmons, Government Adversary
Erratum:
While Frank Simmons is assigned, to assign a character, your opponent pays 1 power for each other Political card at the current mission.

* Ishta, Leader of the Hak’tyl Resistance
Erratum:
Each time Ishta earns a glyph she already has, you may destroy an adversary.

* Jack O’Neill, Dynamic Leader
Erratum (second paragraph of game text only): and : Each assigned character gets +1 while Jack O’Neill is assigned.
(The first paragraph of this card’s game text is unchanged.)

Jack O’Neill, Team Leader
Erratum:
Each time Jack O’Neill earns a glyph he already has, you may look at the top two cards of your mission pile, then place them in any order on the top and/or bottom of that pile.
resolving the current mission
A mission with no characters assigned to it is a failure, even if the mission’s difficulty has been reduced to 0.

* SGC Emblem
Erratum:
Its cost is increased from 3 to 4.

skills
If a card modifies a character’s skills “until the end of the current mission,” the modification stays in effect even if the card leaves play or becomes incapacitated.

Harold Maybourne’s game text reads: “, Stop Harold Maybourne – All other team characters get skills +1 until the end of the current mission.” If he is incapacitated after using this game text, the other team characters still have skills +1.

Hathor’s game text reads: “Each time you assign Hathor, each character already assigned gets skills -1 until the end of the current mission.” If you assign Hathor, and she is later destroyed, the character who were assigned before her still have skills -1.

Team Compromised
If more than one copy of this obstacle is played during the same mission, the hero player may choose to block the same character each time.

I uploaded the rule book too, just for completeness sake.

BTW, I recommend checking on Kit's Stargate TCG site. It has a picture of every card in every deck...if you are looking for things you might like, combos, etc., it is very useful.

Thanks John. I was missing the errata and rulings doc, despite the trawl through my back-up drives.

It was unfortunate that both the official site and the SOE site went offline so quickly. There are parts of the site available via the Wayback Machine site but none of the pdfs. This is a problem I encountered with the Dredd CCG too.

The Kitdb site has some useful stuff on as you mentioned just about the only site that has any useful resources these day.

That errata is current through System Lords, as Canopic Jar is from that set and needed to be fixed.

Nothing from Rise needed to be issued errata, although a few cards were buggy in the online game.

I just loved the online game system, it felt like a smooth/slick iOS interface cardgame. Definitely a missed opportunity by SOE to reuse the system for other card games.

I'd still be playing SGTCGO now if was functional, or SWGTCG as well.

From my conversations with people involved at low levels, how they handled bug reports/feedback/communication in general, and my general sense of how things were at SOE at the time, the Stargate TCG was practice for Legends of Norrath and the Star Wars Galaxies TCG.

They had made Star Chamber, but they hadn't made an online game based on a recognizable license that would have a broader appeal. Star Chamber is basically a game for Card Game Nerds, which is awesome, but its such a niche audience that it populates itself.

LoN and SWGTCG bring with them their own fan base aside from people who love card games, so the UX has to be smooth and easy and appealing to a much wider audience, which SOE hadn't done yet.

Enter Stargate; its not their original IP like Norrath/EQ is, but its a MUCH cheaper get than other similar sci-fi licenses, with the same style of rabid fanbase. Additionally, at the time it was at the height of its powers, with both series still on the air plus a movie with another movie coming down the pipe.

It was the perfect platform to practice on before moving on to the projects they REALLY wanted.

I would absolutely still be playing if it were still functional, and I might even still be buying product, because I was FRUSTRATINGLY close to a full set of foil missions and a 1x foil set of team characters. I think I was missing, like, 8 missions and 2 team characters or something like that.
