Agricola scaled really badly IMO. With two players it was a resource management game but there was hardly any interaction between the players. With five players we were constantly vying for positions on the board and the secret to success was predicting the strategy of the other players as we struggled to feed our families let alone try to improve our farms. While I can't coment on the multi-player Agricola game, I think that the 2 player game is superb (as do the BGG player stats.) Yes interaction is quite low but a lot of Euros are, still doesn't stop it being an incredibly rewarding experience, as is also the solo game.
This one won't have this problem obviously.
