I checked several online stores in Europe. The English edition is more than 20€ more expensive compared to French and German editions.

They were all printed at the same printer in Germany (even the Polish one). They all contain the same materials.

Why such a difference in price for the English edition?

There could be several reasons.

1) Z-Man has an exclusive US distributor. The contract might have some language in it about English language versions. So in order to buy the English version of the game in Europe, the seller may need to go through the US based distributor. They may even need to order the box directly from the US. Shipping isn't cheap!

2) There are not many English copies in Europe, so the local European distributors, or stores, decide to charge more because if people want the English version they may be willing to pay more for it.

3) The English version may be sold out at the distributor level period, which would make it viable for a store to overprice the item.

You might have some luck in contacting the stores and asking them, they might be able to shed some light on the price difference. The bottom line is that it is either related to the procurement cost of the English version, the relative demand of it, and the ease of restocking.
