I just picked-up the 2009 Matagot XL edition (plastic minis!) from my FLGS for about $60 USD. I really wanted this version over the newer one with the wooden/cardboard bits. I've been doing some hunting online to see if this is a decent price for this edition, but a.) I can only find the newer edition, and b.) I'm working through a haze of cold medicine.

I don't want to break the shrink on this until I know it was worth it. Can anyone help me out?

Is there a newer edition with wood and cardboard?

I know that there is an older version with wood and cardboard, as the minis weren't ready for release, but the company will replace those bits when asked.

EDIT: grammar

Yeah, unfortunately I think you got it backwards. You can readily find the game with plastic mini's online. I got a copy a week ago from CSI for $29.99 when CSI had it on sale. I think normally its $38.99.

EDIT: I see that you removed your question, but I'll leave the answer here for posterity.

Yes, the current version also comes with plastic minis for the creatures.

Is it something you can return? If not I feel sad for you due to the misunderstanding

Personally I rather paid what would be 71 USD at the moment here (479 SEK )

But in the US you don't have so much trash/rip-off in-between the factory and the consumer.

30 USD is just evil.

Almost half the price of what the expansion sell for here.

Nasty. I hate this shit.

I would like to know what margins the online seller has. Maybe they should give me much better discounts. Or I should be selling the games myself and sell a few to myself.

Yeah I returned it. I was careful not to open the shrink until I definitely knew one way or the other.
