I have some great game ideas and need to communicate and exchange ideas with game players and find testimonials. Are there any card game clubs or gatherings can be found in Toronto?

Hi,
Have you tried http://www.tabsonline.net/ ? There are get-togethers every 3 months and I have seen some card games being played there. Check out the forums and you will probably find someone with similar interests.
Also, you can peruse Meetup: http://www.meetup.com/cities/ca/on/ to see if anyone is organizing get-togethers in your area.
Cheers, Hobie

While the big TABSCons are quarterly (this past Saturday was the latest), there are regular get-togethers organized on the TABS board about 3 or 4 times a week.
Also, www.fungamescafe.com has get-togethers in Mississauga the first Sunday of every month.

I'm a regular on the TABSonline.net boards. If you get an account to browse the forums, I made a post under the "Conventions and Gatherings" subforum that has all the organized game groups in the city and the nights and locations at which they play.
It sounds like you are a budding game designer; there is a game design group that meets at Snakes and Lattes every 3rd Monday of the month: http://www.meetup.com/Toronto-Boardgame-and-Social/events/54...

I know Toronto isn't exactly small, but the first thing that came to my mind was Snakes and Lattes and I continue to be dumbfounded by how many people, including Torontonians(?), haven't heard of the gaming there.

Snakes & Lattes also runs opening gaming every Tuesday, noon to 6pm. You can drop it alone and find players to play! Game gurus, like myself, will be there playing and would be more than happy to teach you games you've been meaning to learn, along with all the other benefits of playing at the cafe.

The meetups are iffy for me, as my schedule usually doesn't allow it. However, I am willing on meeting some good folks from here to get some gaming going on in an ad-hoc scheduled way. Inspired by this thread about inviting random BGG strangers into one's home:

Quote: My wife and I haven't had that much fun gaming yet because these guys were just like us-they craved games. They learned Stone Age in like 8 minutes and taught my wife and I how to play Power Grid and 7 Wonders. It was amazing. That happened a week ago and we still are talking about it. As much as we love our friends who we game with, they just want to play Settlers, and they get bored way too easily. They hate Puerto Rico and for that I am sad because I could honestly play that all day and night. But now, it's this whole new world of people who already love games and just want people to play with!
I don't have a lot of games but I am looking for folks to play with, who can maybe introduce me to more. Of course, I will contribute my own!

I always keep an eye out for people in the area looking for gaming and usually invite them to join me at my home or elsewhere. I've never had any trouble, other than the fact that people in downtown Toronto are very hesitant to travel outside the city.

Thanks for all the information and suggestions. I've registered in TABSonline, and will definitely go to snakes and latte.
