Our monthly game day was this weekend. I had a great time. I think I forgot a game or two in my recording, but I just can't remember for the life of me. We had several new people this month, and just barely ran out of chairs at one point (about 35 people I think).

Summoner Wars: Master Set x11 - Yes, 11 times. Picked this up this weekend while the wife and I were stuck in the house attending to a recovering dog. She is pretty enamored with it and kept asking to play. I have a feeling this will get a lot of plays now that she's learning all of the factions. Its currently (her 6: me 5)

Lords of Waterdeep X4 (twice with the gaming group and twice with my wife)

Good morning fellow BGG'ers.

Let's see, Friday night I convinced a friend who is an RPG guy to come over and we played a game of Defenders of the Realm. He caught on very quickly and really enjoyed it. We won too, which is a bonus in that game.

Saturday was my long-awaited first game of Twilight Imperium (Third Edition). I loved it even though my brain kind of hurt afterwards. I can't wait to play more. Apparently we finished a little earlier than expected so we finished the night off with a game of Lords of Waterdeep. It was a great game day.

Sunday was my day to finish off Season 10 of Smallville which I finally did around 8pm. I snuck in a quick game of Friday before opening my new copy of Ascending Empires and applying the stickers and bagging the components before bed.

Not much but finally opened my dusty copy of Glory to Rome, ignored the hideous art, and discovered an utter gem of a game. Wow. Got three complete games in. Then the two hour premiere of Mad Men came on and that was my Sunday night gone.

Hey BGG,
Well big weekend because my oldest son earned his blackbelt!!!! Even with all the celebrating we still managed to get some gaming in.

We won in scenario#3 but had to stop early due to bedtime last night in scenario #4...but it looked like we were going to lose...who knows...lol

2. Small world--it was a close game:
8yo son-90 points
wife- 89 points
5yo son-89 points
me- 79 points
10yo son- 72 points

3. Death Angel card game-- two solo plays both ending in a defeat for the emperor finest....oh and I used the new deathwing expansion.

4. Pandemic--didn't complete because it was late on Saturday night. Kids Bedtime

5. Warhammer: Invasion--- First game was Orcs(me) vs Empire(wife)---win for me!! Second game Ors(me) vs Dwarf(son)---epic lose for me...boo!

6. Dominion-- 2 games with the wife both lose's for me.

Friday

Memoir '44 x2

I bought Memoir '44 on Friday and played it twice with my brother. After playing a few times, we've decided it's not really what we were looking for, due to the cards and some of the rules. Fortunately, the components are all there to work out some house rules and have a pretty enjoyable game. Still working on the specifics though.

Saturday

7 Wonders x1
The Castles of Burgundy x1
Memoir '44 x2

Sunday

Flash Point: Fire Rescue x1
7 Wonders x1

Sunday we headed up to our local store for a quick game. Then over to FlashCon, a small game day at a local library, in the afternoon.

At the store I played: Lords of Waterdeep I really think WOTC has a winner here. I really liked the game. It played quick and was easy to learn. It has a number of excellent strategical decisions to make.

At Flashcon I played: Priests of Ra I really like Ra, and had picked this up at Unity. It is a streamlined, more strategical version of Ra.

And: A Few Acres of Snow I really enjoy this game. It is innovative and has an excellent theme.

So much for this weekend...next weekend GMT East!!
