First of all, this has been updated from v1.0 to v1.1

Quote:
The free v1.1 update brings:
An exciting Yig campaign - This venomous foe presents a less challenging alternative to Azathoth.
Five new Yig monsters and four Yig adventures
An unlockable investigator (after defeating Azathoth)
Performance improvements and other technical fixes

The in-app purchase offers:
"The Call of Cthulhu," a new campaign
30 brand new adventures, four new Investigators, and 12 new monsters
New inventory items, a new map, and new game mechanics
An unlockable investigator (after defeating Cthulhu)

2 questions I have are...
1) do we now have the full game?

2) Between Android (Samsung Galaxy s2) and Ipod Touch (4th gen), which platform is better, if not equal?

They are precisely equal in every possible way.

Even with the Yig "campaign" added, it doesn't look like is unclear whether they are actually bringing Omens closer to the physical version of the game. Compare these.

Ohhh, that must be the debacle people are pissed about. The Ipad version costs $2 more, but still the same resolution.

I can attest that for Android, it's buy once, play anywhere... I paid $3.99, and have it on my Droid X2 phone, as well as my Iconia 500 tablet. And the resolution scales to the tablet.

I can't wait for this update! I love to pull out ES:Omens every now and then when I have around an hour to kill (attending birthday parties full of 7 year old girls, this game has SAVED me...lol), but would love a little more variety in who I'm fighting and where I'm fighting at. I'm definitely purchasing the Call of Cthulhu content!

Also, kudos to FFG for making Yig free. Definitely get your 4 dollars worth! I Will also chime in about the android versions - it is as everyone else said, pay for it once, use it on any device - phone or tablet. When installing, and launching for the first time, it gives option of which resolution files to download. It looks AMAZING on my Xoom, I love the artwork. And the sounds... that clock chiming midnight sends the hairs on the back of my neck up every time, wondering if it's going to slap me around with a +3 doom and a monster! I've only seen "No Effect" maybe two or three times after 6 or more games!

It appears that Yig is just going to be for a shorter game. It still doesn't appear that they are implementing the GOO battle when the doom track fills up.
