I choose a Medium Campaign, with all the Advanced/Optional Rules. May be I will regret to have increased difficulty by these choices...

I use 43 of 49 SO to purchase 6 U-Boat, all Trained:
- U-44, a Type IX A, lead by KK Mathes,
- U-47, a Type VII B, lead by KL Prien, Infiltrator,
- U-51, a Type VII B, lead by KL Knorr,
- U-96, a Type VII C, lead by KL Lehmann-Willenbock, Cool,
- U-201, a Type VII C, lead by KL Schnee, Searcher,
- U-333, a Type VII C, lead by KL Cremer.

So, I will keep 6 SO to be used in support during the Campaign.

I will comment this campaign by summarizing the fate of each of these Submarines.

U-44 scores 7 VP with 4 000 Tonnage sunk, without any victory in her second patrol.

U-47 scores 9 VP with 8 000 Tonnage, an Escort Carrier and a Heavy Cruiser sunk. Promoted to Veteran.

U-51 scores 5 VP with 3 000 Tonnage sunk. No victory in her first patrol and only one in her second patrol.

U-96 scores 9 VP with 37 000 Tonnage sunk. Promoted to Veteran. Most successful patrol with 6 VP in her second patrol.

U-201 scores 8 VP with 26 000 Tonnage sunk. Promoted to Veteran. Most victories in a patrol with 4 ships sunk.

U-333 scores 6 VP with 19 000 Tonnage sunk. Promoted to Veteran. No victory in her second patrol.

My Flotilla has succeeding in noticing Dönitz attention, so I have gained the 2 SO bonus. During Campaign, I have used 2 SO to make a Maintenance, and in last times of the patrol, to boost performance of my 2 last U-Boats at sea, 2 SO for an Air Search, 3 SO for Intelligence and 1 SO to make a Radio Call to form a Wolfpack, in Western Approaches.

Actually, in this campaign, I have formed 2 Wolfpacks :
- 2 subs against 3 Merchants with 3 Escorts. 1 Sub has withdrawn and 1 Merchant has been Heavily Damaged ;
- 2 subs against 4 Merchants with 2 Escorts. 2 Merchants sunk and 1 Final Shot on a third.

So, with 44 VP and no loss (97 000 Tonnage Sunk, 1 Escort Carrier and 1 Heavy Cruiser) this is a Good Campaign Evaluation.

Of course, some Events have helped me to gain precious VP, Patrolling Escort (6 times) and Naval Target (2 times).

I have to say that, this campaign is obviously (and historically) harder than the previous three campaigns. With more events drawn, some subs get incredibly quickly a lot Stress. In fact, some subs have to go back to port without launching a torpedo because they have been already shaken and, by experience, becoming unfit is the better way to taste the bottom of North Atlantic...
And remember, if you aren’t detected, you can’t be sunk (unless caught in surface by an aircraft carrier, or unluckily gunned by a merchant).
