It might be wise to remove the name of the person you're talking about. It will get you in trouble with the admins.
You can rant and rave all you want just make sure your not bashing the person "publicly" by name or anything else that could identify the person.

Hi
I still can't really understand what Avery is saying, but if he is ranting over some seller doing something wrong, what's the point in not saying who he is?

"Name and Blame" activities are frowned upon by the admins. It goes hand in hand with the idea that there are two sides to every story. If you have an issue with someone on this site, regardless to the issue, your action should be to contact an administrator for moderation, not blast them apart by name in a public forum.

Hi,
Well, if it's against the policy, then it should not be done. But then it's a "discuss retailers" forum, how can you discuss a retailer, and by extension a seller, without saying who it is?

I am probably not the person to be asked these questions, however I think the distinction is that as a BGG seller, technically BGG is in charge of their "business", so they basically get to make the rules when it comes to their marketplace.
That is my take on it - though I could be completely wrong.

Over 3 DTPs? Aren't you going a wee bit over the top?
If you're expecting some slack because you had a holiday, why can't you return the favor? Or do you think you're the only person on BGGin the gaming world where real life things get in the way of game life?

Yes, this seems to be a most rational response to the situation.

Do yourself a favor and delete the thread, your only making yourself look bad.

Mention the website, since the person being attacked isn't even on BGG.

That is my take on it - though I could be completely wrong.
This starts to become a dangerous slope though.
If BGG is "in charge", then, does that also make BGG liable? i.e., if BGG establishes rules to protect the seller's identity; are they not, in some fashion, aligning with the seller?
I don't necessarily know (nor care); but I worry about those implications.

...and with the other people who have been ripped off by the same user discussed in the replies. Thank heavens that the wall of silence is firmly in place in that thread.

"You try to play your wargames, but you can't because the fat German businessmen are forming pyramids, frightening the children, and all the non-wargamers are complaining about the pieces, 'Oh, they're so greasy from the snacks, not like the pieces we have at home,' so you try to sell off your entire collection but they're not going to give you $13,000, they just offer you cherryade and melted ice cream and bleeding Watney's Red Barrel, but you're not about to . . . "
"Stop that, stop that! Silly. Now let's get back to the serious discussion."

Didn't you quit wargaming and sell your entire collection last fall when you were pissed at the publisher of Dragon Rage? So, you were just bluffing, then?
