One Armed Bandit
In which the noble Planestalker Khadath Ahemusei (played by Ozy Lellowen) faces the corrupted Zaamassal Kett (your truly), and learns the true power of "I reject your reality and substitute my own!"
Beat 1 - 20-20: Warped Shot vs Lure Burst. Both fighters retreat into the corner, but Zaam is faster and stuns Khadath before he can retaliate. He then assumes the Paradigm of Distortion.
Beat 2 - 20-17: Urgent Grasp vs Blight Drive. Zaam has 7 priority, and Distortion lets him hit at long range. He pings Khadath for 1, which is enough to stun, and pulls him forward 1. Khadath does manage to drop his Gate Trap on the center space.
Beat 3 - 20-16: Malicious Drive vs Teleport Dash. Khadath miscalculates and dashes 2 onto the center space with the Gate Trap. Zaam then advances 2 and smacks him for 4 damage. He then activates the Paradigm of Pain, and uses it to cause 2 more loss of life. Khadath then teleports behind Zaam, as such - oKZGooo
Beat 4 - 20-10: Sturdy Strike vs Hunter's Grasp. Khadath finally lands a hit... but Sturdy gives stun immunity AND prevents Khadath from moving Zaam out of range! Zaam then counter-attacks for 4, and Pain adds an extra 2, before he switches out for Resilience.
Beat 5 - 16-4: Warped Burst vs Evacuation Snare. Zaam retreats 2 spaces at Start of Beat, while Khadath retreats 1 and moves his Gate Trap. Unfortunately, this places the trap out of range of Zaam, while Warped gives Burst all the range he needs to hit Khadath for 3. Zaam unsurprisingly takes on Distortion again.
Beat 6 - 16-1: Urgent Shot vs Teleport Dash. Unfortunately, there's nowhere Khadath can go that escapes the inevitable shot.
And that, children, is why Paradigm of Distortion will mess you up bigtime.
