"We're put on this earth to do a job. And each of us gets the time we get to do it. And when this life is over and you stand in front of the Lord... Well, you try tellin' him it was all some Frenchman's joke." ~Betsy Solverson
I loved this show, but I didn't like Peep Show at all.
Are you kidding?! This phenomenon of not liking Peep Show is new to me. Why not?
I mean, I hate awkward humor in the vein of The Office, but against all odds, I love Peep Show.
(That Mitchell and Webb Look is better, admittedly.)
Here's my ill-thought-out idea:
In The Office, you didn't care about the characters. At all. They were idiots, and you knew it. You probably even knew people sort of like some of the characters, and you wanted to see them get what was coming to them.
In Peep Show, it seemed more like Mitchell and Webb, and they seemed like likable guys in That Mitchell and Webb Look (I'd love to have heard That Mitchell and Webb Sound...). So to see them screw up their lives so badly was more painful.
