Sorry for this probably dumb question, but Ive been surfing on the forum for sometime and couldnt find the answer...

How do I reply normally to a topic?

Each post has a reply or quick reply button.

But in most cases I just want to add a post to a topic, and not reply to anyone. Should I reply to the first post? Or the last one?

And whats the difference between quick and normal reply?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to BGG - not all is perfect, but there is a new interface that is undergoing BETA testing. Anyway, hope this helps:

Replying doesn't in fact reply to the post you clicked on. I shoyuld be called comment, as that is what you are doing.

QuickReply opens a panel below the post that you clicked on, whereas Reply replaces the current thread with a Reply page in the same tab.

Quote is what you think Reply is doing - like Reply it opens a page with the post you clicked on quoted in the message box. You then type a response above or below the quoted text, like so:

QuickQuote opens a message box under the post you clicked on.

Try a few tests in this thread.

Have fun and once again, welcome.

Provided that you don't change it - it will not be visible.

Thanks for this info ... I did not know the difference between quote & reply myself and always recreated those blue text boxes that "quote" uses manually & thought that it was awfully painful ... hahaha
