This has been driving myself and a friend crazy for years.
We used to play a game in mid-eighties... it was super addictive.

It was a magnetic board, divided into strips which were mixed up at the onset of a new game.
The game pieces were small clear domes containing a flip switch with a yellow square on one side, a red triangles on the other.
You moved the pieces around and depending on the way the magnetic strips were set up, the switch would flip or stay the same way up.
The object of the game was to get a row of four squares or four triangles...

Manythanks

My mom had a copy of that game when I was a kid. I thought it was so amazing that you could mix up the magnets - a new game each time! what a innovation! laugh

Anyway, I had to buy myself a copy when I saw one at the thrift store. My kids have had a lot of fun with that game. It's really not that bad for a "get four in a row" type of game. Magnets are always fun!

It's definitely the game in general playing terms but the board and pieces we had were different. The board was white strips and the pieces hemispheres with yellow/red triangles/squares... it may have been a french version?
Thank you for solving that one...
