I am looking for good games for a seven year old. My niece is coming to visit so would appreciate both suggestions for available games (to get her one to bring back to play with her non-gamers family) as well as suitable games in my collection we could play while she is here. Any suggestions welcome.

Apples to Apples is always fun. They have a junior version so she will know all of the words. Here is a link for it on amazon.

From your collection, the first two I'd pull out would probably be Fairy Tale and Kupferkessel. Zirkus Flohcati, Honeybears, Fast Flowing Forest Fellers, R-Eco and Felix the Cat are some other options, depending on how many want to play.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

I should probably have mentioned that she's Swedish, so will need language independent games.

Animal Upon Animal, Zombie Dice, and Cheeky Monkey are all age appropriate for difficulty and could be enjoyed by a family of non-gamers.

I think these 3 suggestions are especially good for this situation...

And, from your collection I'd suggest...
- Hey, That's My Fish!
- Pickomino
- Circus Flohcati
- Ingenious? (I haven't tried it yet with my kids, but it seems like it could work)
