The science of history is a great bulwark against the stream of Time; in a way it checks this irresistible flood, it holds in a tight grasp whatever it can seize floating on the surface and will not allow it to slip away into the depths of oblivion

I was trying to find a way to search for all users who were looking for a particular game, but then filter those users down to a particular state. Is there a way to change the search string URL to include a state filter?

Basically I have some games that I'd like to see if a local gamer would be interested in. I'm aware that I can do a custom search for direct matches by state of a particular game, but I'd also like the ability to peruse the entire "for trade" list of users who want the game I'm trading, but don't have the particular games on my wishlist listed for trade. Sometimes a game might intrigue me that I hadn't looked at before.

Anyway, so in the URL http://boardgamegeek.com/collection/items/boardgame/70512?wa...
is there a way to add a "&states%5B%5D=California" or something?

Just wondering Thanks!

An ash I know, Yggdrasil its name. With water white is the great tree wet; thence come the dews that fall in the dales. Green by Urth's well does it ever grow.

I think you should go to Direct Trade Matches, then Custom Search. I think you can choose your state and just the game you want that way.

Suddenly a shot rang out! A door slammed. The maid screamed. Suddenly a pirate ship appeared on the horizon! While millions of people were starving, the king lived in luxury. Meanwhile, on a small farm in Kansas, a boy was growing up.

Hell, I'd just like to be able to pick a game and see what "for trade" items I could get for it (like the reverse of the "match any in my collection" option) without having to identify particular games I "want"... let alone do it by state. I've wanted this for years now.

Me too. I feel like this feature used to exist and it doesn't now. It would be great to have.

Haha, ok thanks! I agree, I think it'd be quite useful. C'est la vie.

Thanks for the reply, that works great if you know what game you want in trade. I was, in particular, looking for games that I didn't explicitly want in my list. Just in case something caught my eye, you know?
