How many miniatures come in this game? I'm considering buying it when the next reprint comes out in 2 weeks. Any info is appreciated.

Yep, there's 8:

- 4 heroes
- 4 cities

The cities have clicky bases, the heroes do not. (The city clicky bases aren't clicked during the game, they are just used during setup).

The difference is

Mage Knight - is a minutures game with click bases (like HeroClix).

Mage Knight: Board Game - is the one being discussed here.

You should google Mage Knight Board Game and you should get what is being discussed.

The old Mage Knight miniatures was really a collectible game in which you had to buy a bunch of boosters as well.

At this point, though, you may be able to find lots of non-random figures too.

Does anyone know if the base size of the old Mage Knight Miniatures would fit nicely on the mage knight board game tiles? I was thinking it might be fun to try and pick up some figures to match the monsters in the game. It looks like they go for cheap on ebay/amazon.
