So if the Expansion replaced 3 Dud cards from the original game, are there now also now 3 corrected Dud cards in the Expansion's invader cards?

Also, are the 3 replacement Dud cards printed with the original Invader cards imagery or are the 3 replacement cards for the original game printed with the Expansion invader cards imagery?

What is the replacement Dud cards new wording?

Are all 3 cards the same wording?

Yes, the Expansion came with 6 Dud cards, 3 with the original game card back and 3 with the Expansion card back. All 6 cards have the same wording:

"Play after a marine makes an attack that does not expend ammo. That attack expends ammo as though the marine had rolled a bullet icon."

Biggest problem with these cards though, the Expansion cards were just a hair bigger than the original cards, so they stood out and made shuffling difficult. Whenever we played with the original deck, we just left the original card in the deck and use the expansion card as a reference of what the text should be whenever he drew that card.

What was the purpose of the replacement cards?

Were the originals too powerful or not powerful enough?

Don't the invaders need more help not less?

Not just the original dud card, but the original invader deck was very powerful. Just about everything in it punished the marines hard. The new deck is more interesting with different choices leading effectively to a better balanced game. The Invader still has an edge in the game, but it's not so mind numbingly easy.

The original dud card was this: "Play at the start of your turn. Force a marine to discard one ammo token of your choice." So 3 times in the deck, the Invader simply forced a marine to lose ammo. Ammo is such a precious commodity in this game, it made it *very* frustrating for the marine players. At least in the Expansion, he got a shot off before expending that ammo.

Dud is still a very powerful card. Ammo denial/depletion is sometimes a big part of an invader strategy. Waste the marines' ammo, then force them to punch their way out.

Looks like I need to double check my inventory again.
