Hi guys!

Quite a few of our customers have asked us about whether we would consider providing our Living Rules in e-Reader formats. Well, Mitch has been working on this in the background, and he now has a new page on the GMT website setup for you to download our rulebooks (we have five to start with, but will be adding more, as we have a gentleman who is working with Mitch to provide a bunch of them) in e-reader formats (.epub, .mobi, .prc). We hope you enjoy this new feature. Here's the link to the page:

Enjoy!

I had previously downloaded the Combat Commander rules in PDF to my Kindle. If you are going to be formatting rules for ereaders now, so much the better!

Thanks!

Any one know which format the kindle fire will read? I couldnt get mine to read any of them. *Figured it out*

Kindle fire users have to send the document to there kindle document account.

If you dont know what it is go to the doc section on your fire it will be the email address in the first box.

It only reads the following types:

Microsoft Word (.doc, .docx)
Rich Text Format (.rtf)
HTML (.htm, .html)
Text (.txt) documents
Archived documents (zip , x-zip) and compressed archived documents
Mobi book

Looks awesome. Hurry up with the rest please. Cause this suddenly made looking up rules sooooo much easier.

Depends on the Kindle, I believe - and that uses AZW - Amazon's proprietary version of Mobipocket. I have the 2nd edition of the black and white version - and I had been viewing rules in PDF (since it had some native support for that).

Instructions for converting other e-pub formats to Kindle can be found here

The standard ebook format for Kindle is .mobi. If you don't want to send the file to your document account, you can place the file directly in your Books folder on your Kindle, then reboot your device. It should see it then.

+1 for Combat Commander

No issue for me using either the direct link, or going through the GMT Games home page. Tried it with both Firefox and IE.

But I can't check out rules, new games etc.. Actually expecting the P500 for 1989 soon and wanted to download and read the rules before it arrives.

The rules for 1989 have not been formatted into an ebook format yet. But the rules are available in pdf here:
