"crystalcrystals" was not a typo. It is a special form of crystal, twice as powerful, but only used in the Mines Liberation scenario.

Due to 'balancing issues', these were amended for the 2nd printing.

There are still pockets of people around the country still using crystalcrystals, but as time goes on, they be no doubt frowned upon by the larger community as being heathens.

And dont mention the Ccrystalcrystals, as I believe they also have their own worshippers meeting bi-monthly in a secret location somewhere in Devon.

/joke off/

PHEW!

Lucky me I got the REAL version of this game with crystalcrystals. I'd be SO mad if I've missed out on this.

Proof: I just played the game with crystalcrystals. I then tried out the 2e with only crystals. I couldn't stand it. The game wasn't the same without it.

So there you have it. SCIENTIFIC PROOF!

What you guys don't realize is that most of you are playing with plasticcrystals. Real Mage Knight fans are using actual gemstones -- crystalcrystals -- instead of the plasticcrystals used by the unwashed masses.

I've seen Paul's copy of the game; it really does have crystalcrystals in it. So much so I've just wasted 15 minutes of my life looking for UK-based suppliers online (if anyone knows, do tell me; I cannot resist this particular opportunity to pimp my game). I'm not however going to follow in Paul's footsteps and make double-sized map pieces; the game already takes up most of a table.

Yeah, but that is an advanced action, you can't count on getting it into your deck. There is a spell that can do it too, but it requires 3 black mana.

I am buying acrylic crystals of different colors at Board & Bits. Are the stones in Mage Knight closer to 1/4 inch or little more than 1/2 inch....anyone know?

More 1/2 inch of crystally goodness I believe.

EDIT: Sadly there were no clear 20mm crystals from B&B, otherwise I'd have done the same.

I bought the 10mm clear with 50 last October and measuring them right now from end to end they cover 1/2 inch...doesn't make sense because that's the size of the 20mm with only 8 of them...sounds like the 10mm are ok... someone measured wrong or something, anyone got any idea on the colors needed? and thank you
