The game itself isn't important. Spending time intellectually jousting with likeminded folks is the real reason to game.

If it exists? Yes.

If I will tell you anything about it? No. That's Todd's job.

Will we see you there? Only if you're awesome.

If it's as good as last year, I'm in. I quite enjoyed it. Got to play a lot of Thunderstone and learned (a bit) how to play L5R.

Info on it and our whole event schedule will be coming soon. And yes it will be awesome. More games, more people to play with, more everything. The attendee freebie bag will be smashed full of goodness, so make sure you sign up and get a gencon event ticket for it. Space is limited to about 300 IIRC.

Anyone remember what the goodie bag had in it last year? I considered doing it, but had scheduling conflicts.

1 Copy of Myth: Pantheons
1 stack of Thunderstone promo cards
1 War of Honor promo counter sheet
1 Deck of L5R (a bunch of L5R booster packs)
50% off coupon, purchases from the AEG booth

Thanks! Wonder if they will be putting Smashup or one of their tempest euros into the goodie bag this year.

I'm sure they won't announce what's in it in advance. That would spoil the fun.

I have another event that night that ends at 8:00. Does anyone know if the AEG event is something you can come to an hour after it starts, or do you need to be there from the beginning? And, if you come late with a ticket, do you still get the swag?

I second this question, as one of our group was planning on doing the Zombie Shamble that night and would likely be coming late.

Our whole group is planning to come, but does anyone know if food or beverages will be available? Or do we need eat beforehand and/or bring our own in backpacks?

I *believe* that the bags will still be available, although if you want to be smart, come tell us early that you will be late.

Bring your own food. And maybe some for me, too, while you're at it.

Unfortunately we cannot provide food at the event, since it is in the convention center and they don't allow major non-concession catering.

Tell us what you want, and as long as it's available within the vicinity of Gen Con and we can smuggle it in in our backpacks, we'll hook you up.

Serious.

I attended this and the swag box was awesome!

But I am wondering what the little black figure is for. Looks like something that may have to do with the L5R setting?

Anyone know?

It is an alternate Ninja figure for the Ninja: Legend of the Scorpion Clan game. I was told by an AEG employee it doesn't have any specials rules, "yet"

++1! It was an awesomely good time. I'm still surprised at how much was in the Swag box. Kudos to AEG for a great effort.

To top it off, my son won a raffle during the event and walked away with Nightfall and all the expansions. We could barely carry all the stuff out of the hall that night. Great times!

I agree. The AEG Party ticket is a definite buy for my group. Try out some games with folks who are willing to help and a terrific swag bag (box). Kudos to AEG!
