About Family Life Section
The Family Life Section promotes family life in the community through the Family Life Champions (FLCs) who are appointed grassroots leaders in the community. Family life includes singles, couples, parents, grandparents and men. 87 FLCs were appointed since March 2005. With these appointments, there is a conscious effort in the community to recognise and celebrate family life. Through family-focused activities and interest groups for key family segments, we bridge the different generations and foster closer intergenerational ties.
The objective of the competition is to revive interest in playing analog games amongst family members. The games designed should promote family interaction and intergenerational bonding, and be playable by all members of the family.
