When I really got into gaming, my friends and I were surrounded by older teenagers, college kids, and quirky adults of various ages who knew so much more about Star Trek/LotR/WWII/etc than we did. Now I'm the quirky middle aged adult who rants about Star Wars, gushes about superheroes, and has frighteningly impressive collections of games/miniatures/comics/etc. blush

Every genre counts. So in that case I would pick the larger number.

I'm 20, with only 2-3 years of serious gaming experience. I feel young now.

Can't say the results surprise me here. Most of the people in my board gaming group were over 25, and even though we met in a lan cafe none of the (younger) CCG/Video Game ever showed much interest in joining.

I deeply resent the fact having turned 30 recently I now belong to the '30-39' group.

You should have asked for birth year.

So this poll is quicker out of date than the number one song on the billboard charts ... meeple

You're right.
I thought of it as a snapshot in time. Maybe I do it again in the future. After about 200 votes, it seems, that a typical boardgamegeek member is around 36.
