Players for this PbF game were selcted from this thread.

Starting Game setup is as follows:

Faction Starting Powers
- All powers selected by majority vote.
Starting Coin Distribution
- 2 Player assigned coins, the remaining 2 given out by some method.
Bonus Cards
- Use them
Do Not Open Ever Pack
- Use them (vote to determine when it is opened)

This is the first game of what will hopefully be a full 15 game campaign. If spoilers exist withing a post, the game title will contain SPOILER (the title will be edited after the fact if a pack is opened mid-game). The opening post will list all spoilers that are contained within the post. The opening post will also contain the Starting Map board for the game, the Sideboard, and links to previous battles (and will probably contain forward links to the next battle).

In order to keep Digital Earth #0005 alive, enjoyable and played, a rule for Response timer has been set.

Response timer:
• You have 72 hours to respond after your turn has been announced.
• Should you fail to respond in time, your turn will be skipped and you can return to the game on your next turn. Your natural reinforcement units for the skipped turn will be added to your HQ, or to your largest force if no HQ is available to your faction.
• Should you miss a start of a new game, you are allowed to join the game with remaining faction in a legal starting position, even if the game is few turns in. If no legal starting position is available then you must wait untill end of the game.
First rule can be overruled if you inform rest of the Digital Earth #0005 players of duration of your absence within given 72 hours, or prior to your turn. No excuse is necessary as long as your absence remains within reasonable time frame.

Also note:
• Turns will be contained within a single post. Additional attack rolls can be handled easily with the "Add a Roll" at the bottom of a post.
• Playing of Scars/Missiles will be handled by Conditional Orders on a need to know basis. (Players have the option of overriding their CO, but please do so within a reasonable time frame.).

Poll
1. The Saharan Republic
You can make your maneuver at any point during your turn.
When making your maneuver, you may maneuver between any two territories you control, even if they are not connected.
2. Imperial Balkania
When recruiting troops, round up when dividing your territory and population by 3, not down.
You still draw a resource card at the end of a turn where you expanded into 4+ territories, even if you didn't conquer a territory.
3. Enclave of the Bear
The defender subtracts 1 from his lower defense die in the first territory you attack during your turn.
If your attack roll is a natural three of a kind and at least one defending troop is defeated, you conquer the territory. Remove all defending troops.
4. Die Mechaniker
Your starting HQ is always treated as FORTIFIED when you defend it.
If your defense roll is two natural 6s, that territory cannot be attacked again for the rest of the turn.
5. Khan Industries
At the start of your turn place one troop in each territory that has a HQ you control.
When drawing a territory card, you may place one troop into that territory if you control it.

Re: Digital Earth #0005 - Game 1 (full)
i added the 2 random rolls to my vote so they are visible on the chart the rolls for the random are in the rolls at the bottom. that is if we want to do a random roll for them. i believe it is the fairest option.

When you add roll just type d1000 instead of using the d100

Like this. D1000 = (708) = 708

Re: Digital Earth #0005 - Game 1 (full)
My apologies: I forgot to add a zero. Unfortunately, i've hit the limit on my rolls for now. When i did a random number generator for 1-1000 online, i got 425.

I'd also be happy to just go last.

Re: Digital Earth #0005 - Game 1 (full)
Might be just be being impatient, but should we consider adding a "response timer" which can be overruled when other players are aware of your absence? Or is such thing already common in PBF games?

Timer could be 72h (covering full weekend) from the point your turn is called and overruled by for example letting others know of one week absence without explanations required. This covers anything from long days at work/life issues/family vacation.

If the response timer limit is reached, your turn is skipped (reinforcements optionally added to HQ) and you may choose to return to game on your next turn. However if new game is started before your return, you may have to wait untill end of that game.

I see it as a fair way to keep the game going and not dying just because someone loses interest!

or we can follow game rules and allow them to start in any legal starting area when its there turn. that way they are not left out. knock out rules void until they are knocked out and return there after.

but im down for that event timer. i think world 0004 should do the same lol

That only makes sense.

As the majority agrees, I will add this to the first post for reminder and it can be fine tuned if necessary. It should be noted that my written english might not be top of the class and I won't be offended if someone wants to revise my wording.
