Red Winter on CSW: http://talk.consimworld.com/WebX?8@434.daUqedxA9aW.0@.1dd371...

Quick update

As of a few days ago, all final Red Winter materials have been handed in to GMT. The text for the back of the box was the final hurdle. This text was a group effort by Juuso Marttila, Hans Korting, and myself. Condensing all the key details and selling points of the game into a few brief paragraphs proved to be much more challenging than expected!

You can expect to see the game in June.

I have to say that everyone at GMT has been a pleasure to work with. And the artists, Mark Mahaffey and Charlie Kibler, have been really terrific (and patient!) as well.

I'm looking forward to receiving my copies of the game. I hope everyone will have as much fun playing it as I had designing and playtesting it. It's hard for me to believe that it's been a seven year process...

The past week has been spent working on Operation Dauntless and bringing the language in the rule book in line with that of the Red Winter rule book. If anyone reading this would care to help out with proofing, developing, playtesting, or fact checking for Op Dauntless, please contact me. I can especially use treadheads who can double check all the armor stats and let me know if anything looks out of place. Thanks!

I'd like to thank everyone on BGG who has helped out with Red Winter over the years. There are too many people to name! I'd also like to invite everyone to migrate over to the Operation Dauntless forum to lend a hand - or just lend support. Ready... march!

Here's a link to the Op Dauntless forum: http://talk.consimworld.com/WebX?8@@.1dd4856a

Cheers,

Grrreat! Really looking forward to see it on my table then! Yes, it is a while back we preordered

Well - the major reason I reply is to highlight that it is really worth visiting the games page on gmtgames.com (http://www.gmtgames.com/p-270-red-winter.aspx) because it is always fantastic how much work and research you wargame designers put into your projects -- and your one is a pretty transparent example for that (imho).

2nd edit as I seem to be totally overwhelmed with inserting an extern link yuk
