After 100 games I thought I would post a few more thoughts/stats about this game into the void. The likelihood of this being read is similar to that of a dust covered book shelved in the darkest corner of the library, but here goes.

My main concern is that the PPG are a little high. All but three teams are averaging 100+ and more than half are at 110+. I am using the optional rule for steals leading to fastbreaks, but I don't think that is enough to solely cause such a significant increase in scoring. Otherwise, I find the game a real pleasure to play. It paints an accurate flow of the NBA game. The rest requirements and injury system has led to a few strange lineups, but nothing too unrealistic.

If I make it to 200 games, I'll provide another update, assuming they don't disable this forum.

Well, I've both picked up a few dust covered library books as well as played the game... so you never know

I noticed that Kevin Love did not make the leader charts -- what is his rebounding average ?

Do you see much difference in FG% or is it more of a game pace thing for the higher scores ?

It is the case that FG% is a little high. About half the teams currently have 50+ FG%. It feels like the stats are settling, but the column 1 results and A passing results tend to create an abundance of buckets. I have started to focus more on having better defenders guard the better shooters, but the position assignments are a little restricting. I have considered allowing for alternative defensive assignments (ex. SG guards SF, if he can also play the position), but am afraid it will slow the game down too much.

Here's Kevin Love's line - sorry about the formatting:

MINNESOTA G MIN MPG FGA FGM FG% 3PA 3PM 3P% FTA FTM FT% OREB DREB TREB RPG ASS APG BLK BPG ST SPG TO TOPG FOUL PTS PPG
Love, Kevin 7 229 32.7 111 56 0.50 31 16 0.52 57 47 0.82 27 45 72 10.3 20 2.9 2 0.3 3 0.4 9 1.3 24 175 25.0

So he's just off the leaders for the struggling Timberwolves. He's also injured for the next 2 games. They are on the table vs. the Lakers at the moment. It doesn't look good.

I like reading these too. I've never played Replay Basketball, though, only Statis Pro and SOM. I still have the latter and have a replay of the 95-96 playoffs in progress (but somewhat dead in the water). I don't really follow hoops much any more, so i can't judge the stats.
