I have first edition armies and am interested in picking up some blocks and the base sheet from CGs site direct.

Does anyone know if the 24mm blocks ordered from CG are close enough to the 1st edition colors so that a noticeable difference isnt possible?

Because if so, I will use the old color blocks and switch the mercs to white blocks.
But Id rather keep the original mercs with their armies. That is if the new blocks' colors are close enough.

Thanks

Hi from Germany,

the 24 mm blocks you get from CG are perfectly fitting with the blocks from both editions of WK.
Why should they be different?

I ordered all types in the past and currently another package is on the way to me.

Here you can see blocks of both editions plus some self-made ones.

Cheers

Thanks for the response.

Basically my concern was with different batches any product could be different.
2 different buckets of paint, same color, from Home Depot bought at the same time could be different enough in pigment to be visible.

Just wanted to make sure before I ordered.
Thanks

Great.

One can never have enough of those blocks.

Once I got my recent order (mainly white blocks) I'll provide some pictures of my "Monster" army (the idea is to bring some of the BEASTLORD creatures into the world of WK).

Ive got 2 armies in the works.
Dragons
Elementals / Nature

And Im planning on picking a few mercs for each Army that fit that army and have those on those colored blocks.
The rest of the Merc, including the Were animals, will be on white blocks.

Looking forward to that Monster Army

The Monster army is ready. And made it through the first test runs.
The next army will be the Mercenaries (if part of other armies) or the Soldier army (if on their own). Blocks will be produced next.

Looking forward to it.
Ive yet to get my armies printed out. Looking for a good photo quality sticker / label paper to use.
Any recommendations?

Hi,

regarding sticker/block production, I use POWERPOINT to create the pictures. I print everything on glossy paper (about 200g thickness).
Then I glue the cut out pictures to the blocks.
Example:

About new armies? I now got the impression that real interest in such a variant is not that much appreciated.
"Thinking outside the box" (literally) is as different to advertise as anywhere else, I assume.

In order for an army to get any mercenaries, specific cards are required.
Here are the "prints".

The final "product".
The next scenario played will see the mercenaries in action.
