We all met up again for our second session.
BobL & MikeK=Rebel, AnthonyN & ThomasF=Union
End 1400 turn
Both Rebel & Union forces are heading toward each other. One to satisfy a DD(designated destination),Mgs Preston & stewart divs of Mg Buckners corp, the other to block it, Mgs Wood & VanCleve divs of Mg Crittenden corp.
One lone Union calvary bgd. Bg Minty of Mg Crooks div. decides to stay and take on the bulk of Mg Johnson div. of Mg Longstreet corp, Mg Hood commanding. The Bgds. of Bg Gregg, Fulton & McNair, Whos DD is Reeds Bridge then to move SW toward Viniards Farm. Big mistake Minty!
Mg Granger corp, Mg Steedman div waits in reserve till the 1500 turn when one of his 3 bgds becomes activated, Bg Whitaker.
End 1500 turn
Bg Whitaker bgd gets released and move in the direction of Ringgolds bridge and finds Bg Scott bgd of Mg Pegram div, Mg Forrest Cav corp has already has crossed.
Although Bg Minty cav bgd is defending well, they are taking a trouble beating. Guess we should have blown the bridge and defended the Ford crossings.
I haven't given this area much though, mistake!
This is Bg Wilder bgd, Mg Reynolds div, Mg Thomas corp, who with his 2 regts 92 & 98Ill, spencer repeating rifles and 1 arty 18Ind light, mountain howiters are taking it to Mg Walker corp, Mg Liddell div, bgs Govan & Waltall bgds. Whos DD is to cross at Alexander bridge and then move toward Viniard farm. With a lucky shot the Alexander is destroyed and Alexander ford with breastworks totally hampers the div.
Mg Buckner meets Mg Crittenden in a short sharp battle near the Thedford & Hall houses. Minor casualties on both sides 26Tn, Bg Brown bgd and 99Oh, Bg Barnes bgd. Buckners boys are pushed back and Crittenden start to build.
Just a good view of on coming reinforcements and a well blocked Lee & Gordon mill Rebel DD.
Mg Steedman div bgds of Bg Mitchell & D.McCook waiting for next turn to activate.
Just some overall pics
See you soon
